I Have Epilepsy-Lil Wayne

Lil Wayne open up recently on the causes of his seizures.  For the first time since his release from a hospital in Los Angeles for multiple seizures, Lil Wayne is opening up about the ordeal.
The YMCMB rapper called into Power 106 FM, DJ Felli Fell show recently, where he discuss his recent health scare in debt.
Lil Wayne also discuss his new album I Am Not A Human Being II, TMZ, and MTV’s Hottest MC list of 2013.
Here is the full excerpt from the interview:
On his seizures: “The bad news is I’m an epileptic. I’m prone to seizures. This isn’t my first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh seizure. I’ve had a bunch of seizures, ya’ll just never hear about them. But this time it got real bad ’cause I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 percent. Basically, I could’ve died, so that is why it was so serious.”

A new gist just got to NGA. A new movie titled My Oga At The Top is out. A title which is similar to the viral ‘Oga at the top’ quote, the movie features popular Nollywood actor, Nkem Owoh, also known as Osuofia.

Although the viral quote stopped trending on Twitter after a week of dominance, Nigerians put their creativity to test as they made T-shirts, mugs, songs and jokes about the error made by the Lagos State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Obafaiye Shem, during an interview on Channels Televison.

Nigerian Raggae Icon, Majek Fashek thinks Nigerian rappers lack the ‘swag’ to go along with their skills.

Although he believes Nigerians are good at rapping, but that their American counterparts are light years ahead of them. ‘You know you can’t compare American rap with Nigerian rap. Nigerians can rap but they don’t have the swagger of the Americans’

In recent times, it turns out that one of the most used words in Nigerian music has been the word ‘swagger’; with ‘swag‘ becoming the SI Unit  for measuring images and persona.

2005 AMBO Winner, Azeezat Sadiq Has Become A Musician

 

 Winner of the maiden edition of Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO), Azeezat Sadiq has joined the league of Musicians in Nigeria. The Artist who recently put on hold her acting career, to concentrate on her music career, according to NGA findings.

From our findings, Azeezat had just rounded up a course in music production from a UK University and. She has adopted Zeeza as her stage name and presently making efforts to establish herself in an industry.

Having released three singles including Lau Lau, on which she featured One Lyf, those close to her say she is now working on her album.

He is the fifth child of his father’s six children. A Theatre Arts graduate from the University of Port Harcourt, Julius has earned accolades mounting podiums in different continents of the world.

Nigerian stand-up comedian, Mr. Bright Apkocha, known on stage as Basketmouth is set to become the first Nigerian to host the prestigious comedy gig and TV show Comedy Central Presents…Live at Parker’s in South Africa.

Basketmouth who was brought to the program  by Africa’s only 24-hour comedy channel to helm and headline his own edition of the show in Johannesburg, South Africa, on April 24 alongside well-known South African comedians.

It is expected that the Nigerian comic will bring his own brand of comedy to the live gig at legendary comedy venue, Parker’s Comedy & Jive. It will be aired exclusively on Comedy Central (DStv Channel 122) on June 14 at 07:55 Nigerian time.

South Africa's Music Icon And Actvist, Late Miriam Makeba Awarded Ubuntu Award 2013

 

The late South African Musical Icon And Social Rights Activist, Miriam “Mama Africa” Makeba, who is know all over the world for her love, care and concern for her community and Africa at large, has been awarded this year’s Ubuntu Honour by the National Heritage Council (NHC) in South Africa.

Telling the story of the life and  achievement of late Mama Africa is similar to telling the story of Africa's freedom fighters who fought  agains the occupation of Africa from the Europeans. In deed, that was her activity while she was alive. She did so through her numerous songs through out her life time.

In order honour her contribution to South Africa in particular, Africa in general and aiding the emancipation of black people world wide through her music, the National Heritage Council of South Africa (NHC) conferred the 2013 Ubuntu Honour on her.

Pastor Tunde Bakare was the vice presidential candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) in the 2011 elections.The presiding pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly and the convener of the Save Nigeria Group (SNG) speaks on the merger of opposition parties, the Goodluck Jonathan administration, corruption and other national issues in this interview with AYODELE OJO:

Pastor Tunde Bakare in his own said he cannot sit on the same table with Governors and the so-called progressives who are richer than their respectful states. If doing so is what will make the merger work, he can not be part of it.
In his own words, Pastor Bakare said: Sitting on the table with these people means nothing to me. I am not part of the merger committee. If the merger is being put together for the development of our nation and our people, may God let it succeed, but if is to continue this foolish, crazy, greedy aggrandizement, God will overturn it.
If merger has been put together by good people, it will deepen our democracy, at least we will develop a two-party system in Nigeria. But I don’t see the difference between the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors and the so-called progressive governors. You can ask question how much is the kilometers of road awarded as contract in Oyo State and who is doing the road. It is not Bayelsa where you will say there is too much water there.

Pastor Bakare also said that:  These ones who are fruitful and everyone wants to buy his own private jet once he is out of office, how much were they worth before they came into power?

The Nigerian national team, Super Eagles are battle ready to demolish the visiting Harambee Stars of Keyan this week end.

The Harambee Stars of Kenyan arrived Lagos, Nigeria on Wednesday afternoon for the crucial encounter boasting that they are here for nothing but three points. In their quest to actualizing this dream, Harambee Stars invited a lot of Europe based players who all arrived Nigeria with the team for the encounter.
