Lauryn Hill Saved By Sony Music New Deal, Avoids Jail


Lauryn Hill avoids jail time with new $1million Sony deal 
Musical Superstar, American Rap Artist and Mother of 6, Lauryn Hill has reportedly dodged being handed a jail sentence for tax evasion after signing a new deal with Sony worth $1million.

Lauryn Hill who was one of the arrow heads of  a former group called Fugees recently pleaded guilty to tax evasion last year after failing to file tax returns between 2005 and 2007, during which she earned around $1.8million (£1.2million ) from music and film royalties.


Lauryn Hill was recently given until May 6, 2013 to pay off some of the money she owes tax authorities ot=r risk being jailed one year each per each count charge in addition to $100,000.00 each.

 However, with her recent signing of a new deal with Sony music worth $1 million, the jail issue had been narrowly dodged and she is back to music again after a lengthy rest.
