Lauryn Hill who was one of the arrow heads of a former group called Fugees recently pleaded guilty to tax evasion last year after failing to file tax returns between 2005 and 2007, during which she earned around $1.8million (£1.2million ) from music and film royalties.
Lauryn Hill was recently given until May 6, 2013 to pay off some of the money she owes tax authorities ot=r risk being jailed one year each per each count charge in addition to $100,000.00 each.
However, with her recent signing of a new deal with Sony music worth $1 million, the jail issue had been narrowly dodged and she is back to music again after a lengthy rest.
Congratulations Lauryn Hill for staying off jail and welcome back to music once again.
